Bulk Earthworks
Bulk Earthworks Contractors
As bulk earthworks contractors, we prepare sites for residential, commercial and civil engineering projects, from clearance and excavation through to the formation levels needed for construction.

Cut and fill
Cut and fill is managed around the levels, material requirements and quantities for the project, including suitable site-won material, imported fill and material that needs to be removed from site.
On suitable sites, we use GPS machine control on selected hired plant for earthworks, grading and formation.
Material management
Unsuitable material, off-site disposal and imported fill are handled in line with the project specification and legal duty-of-care requirements. On brownfield sites, contamination or land remediation requirements are common. We undertake these operation phases which gives our clients continuity of dealing with on e contractor from commencement through to completion .

Formation ready for the next trade
We prepare formation and sub-base for the foundations, roads, drainage or infrastructure that follow. Where we also deliver those services, the same site team can continue into the next phase, reducing handovers and keeping progress easier to manage.

FAQs
What does cut and fill mean in bulk earthworks? +
Cut and fill balances excavation and placement across the site. We remove material from higher areas and use suitable material to build up lower areas where the design allows, working towards the required formation levels.
What information helps you price bulk earthworks? +
We require a topographical survey, proposed levels, ground information, cut-and-fill information, site access and any known material restrictions.
Can you produce a cut & fill model? +
We can produce a cut & fill model, all we need is the existing site levels, proposed finished levels and construction thickness. We can complete a topographical survey of the existing site levels If you don’t have this information available.
