Drainage and Infrastructure

Drainage Services and Underground Infrastructure

We work as drainage contractors for development and civil engineering projects, installing foul and surface water drainage, attenuation systems, SuDS features and underground infrastructure.

Our experienced team can deliver drainage on its own or as part of a larger groundworks package with foundations, roads, plot services and external areas. We plan underground routes, levels and timing around the rest of the site, because drainage has to be right before too much gets built over or around it.

Adoptable drainage and SuDS

We construct drainage to the approved design and the standards that apply to the scheme, including Section 104 adoptable drainage and SuDS works that need approval through the relevant route. Where required, this can include CCTV survey and air testing on completion.

Installation, testing and records

Drainage only works if the details are right on site: line, fall, cover, testing, inspections and handover records. We keep those under control as the installation progresses, and if a connection issue, cover level or clash needs a decision, we flag it early.

Drainage within the wider site

When drainage runs through roads, foundations or external areas, we plan it around the rest of the site rather than treating it as a separate run of trenches. That helps on phased housing and larger commercial sites, where different areas are opened up, worked around or handed over at different times. This proactive approach ensures a smooth construction phase for our clients.

FAQs

What does Section 104 mean for drainage works? +

A Section 104 agreement provides the route for a water company to adopt qualifying sewer infrastructure once the scheme meets the design, construction, inspection and approval conditions.

Who handles a Section 104 agreement or SuDS approval? +

The procurement route and project appointments decide who handles each part of the submission, inspection and approval process. The developer, consultant, main contractor and drainage contractor may hold different responsibilities.

What is the difference between attenuation and SuDS? +

Attenuation stores surface water temporarily and controls the rate at which it leaves the site. SuDS is the wider drainage approach and includes attenuation alongside features such as permeable surfaces, swales, headwalls and flow controls.
