Groundworks Contractors for Residential Developments

Ateb delivers residential groundworks for developers, housebuilders and main contractors across Wales and England.

Housing sites depend on sequence. Plots, roads, drainage, services and external areas all have to move at the right time, with each stage ready for the trades, inspections and releases that follow.

Phased Development

On housing developments, the pressure isn’t just getting one part of the groundworks complete. It’s keeping the next plots, roads, drainage runs, service routes and access points ready when the programme needs them.

Ateb’s directly employed workforce gives developers and main contractors continuity across phased sites, with supervision and engineering support close enough to deal with levels, drawings, access and sequencing as the project moves on.

We’ve grown to over 40 employees, giving us the labour and site management structure to support larger residential developments as well as defined areas of work.

Residential Project Experience

Residential work forms a large part of Ateb’s portfolio, with project references including Devonshire Place, Mountain Ash, St Johns & Former tudor Inn.

Standards and Site Requirements

Ateb supports residential schemes with CSCS carded operatives, CPCS certified plant operators, recognised accreditations and ISO management systems.

For developers and main contractors, that means the site has the workforce, safety standards and compliance structure needed to move from day-to-day groundworks through to inspection and handover requirements.

FAQs

What information helps you price residential groundworks? +

We usually start with the site layout, drainage strategy, foundation details, ground information, phasing, access details and plot-release priorities. If the design team is still finalising some details, we price the known work and list what still needs confirming. Whilst including the subtitle assumptions based on our vast technical and commercial experience/

How do you help keep plot release moving? +

We focus on the items that affect the next phase: drainage serving unreleased plots, roads needed for access, areas that need protection, records that need completing and queries that need a quick answer.  We liaise with the client consistently to ensure our operations are run smoothly within the agreed timeframe.
